Pretoria — To mark the 25th anniversary of the disappearance of 11th Panchen Lama, the President of the Inkatha Freedom Party, a political party in South Africa said his party supports the continuous call by human rights organisations throughout the world for the release of Tibet’s Gendun Choekyi Nyima, who went missing at the age of six.

Ottawa — Calling Canada’s strong support to release the 11th Panchen Lama and his family, over 20 Members of Parliament and Senator from Canada said they support for an independent fact-finding mission to assess the human rights violations perpetrated against Tibetans in Tibet and other regions in China.

Washington, D.C. — To mark the 25th anniversary of the Panchen Lama’s disappearance, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday demanded the Chinese government to immediately make public whereabouts of the 11th Panchen Lama chosen by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, 25 years after the six-year-old was seized.
