Dharamshala, India — Challenge or threat posed by the totalitarian communist government in China is serious; either we transform China or China transforms free world countries, President of the Tibetan government in-Exile Dr Lobsang Sangay told the Canadian House of Commons Special Committee on Canada-China Relations (CACI) during a formal hearing on China.

Washington DC — "People’s Republic of China (PRC) government systematically impeded travel to the Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) and Tibetan areas outside the TAR for U.S. diplomats and officials, journalists, and tourists in 2019," the US Department of State said in its second annual report, recently submitted to Congress under Section 4 of the Reciprocal Access to Tibet Act.

Geneva —  Five UN independent mandate holders have strongly demanded China to provide “prompt and detailed information” on the whereabouts of Tibet’s 11th Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima and have endorsed the “CRC’s (Committee on the Rights of the Child) recommendation to allow an independent monitor to visit him to confirm his whereabouts and the extent to which he is able to enjoy and exercise his rights” in their latest communication to China made public recently.
