Dharamshala: - A Tibetan monk who self-immolated in protest against the Chinese government in February last year has survived but had both of his legs amputated.

Dharamshala: - A Tibetan man burned himself to death in Labrang county of Amdho region in Tibet to protests against Beijing's hardline and repressive policies on Tibet.

Dharamshala: - Two Tibetans set themselves on fire in Tibet and one in Nepal, as separate reports emerged confirming the self-immolations in the regions, all three have died after reportedly setting themselves on fire in protest against Chinese rule, marking 101st self-immolation inside Tibet and sixth in exile.

Dharamshala: - The communist regime in Beijing arrests 70 Tibetan in eastern Tibet as it steps up efforts to crackdown on Tibetans in self-immolation protests at Chinese repressive rule in the Himalayan region.

Dharamshala: On February 2, the Chinese authorities released four Tibetans from Lhasa's Drapchi Prison in central Tibet. They have reportedly been sent back to their respective homes in Driru county, eastern Tibet.

Dharamshala: - A Chinese court has given heavy prison terms to six Tibetans "for their roles in an October self-immolation protest case in eastern Tibet," reported the Chinese state controlled news agency Xinhua on 31 January, 2013.
