Dharamshala, India: - Eight Tibetan students have been sentenced to varying prison terms for "illegally holding demonstration" by the Chabcha (Ch: Gonghe) County People's Court for taking part in a demonstration that erupted on 26 November 2012 in Chabcha County in Tsolho (Chinese: Hainan: Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province), northeastern Tibet, according to a report published Wednesday on the official China's Tibet website.

Dharamshala: – A Tibetan woman died Tuesday after setting herself on fire in Zamthang county, Ngaba region, northeastern Tibet (Chinese: Aba Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province) in an apparent protest against China's hardline and repressive policies in Tibet.

Dharamshala: A Buddhist monk from Shershul County-Eastern Tibet has been arrested by Chinese authorities, for carrying out a protest on April 8, calling the return of His Holiness the Dalai lama to his homeland.
