Dharamshala: A Tibetan source reported that Chemey, from Lamdrag nunnery in Karze, Kham, eastern Tibet, was among a number of Tibetans arrested during the Chinese government's crackdown following protests in the region in 2010.

Dharamshala: - On December 5, eight Tibetan students were sentenced to five years in Chinese prison after being arrested for their participation in a protest in November. 18 other students remain in police custody and await sentencing, along with three monks accused of spreading news of the demonstration.

Dharamshala: - Three Tibetan monks have 'disappeared' since their detention this month by local police in Chabcha (Ch: Gonghe) town of Serchen County in Tsolho (Ch: Hainan) Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province.

Dharamshala: - A Tibetan living in Switzerland has reported that a teenage girl had self-immolated inside Tibet on December 9^th in protest against Chinese rule in Tibet. Bhenchen Kyi, aged 17, set herself on fire in Dokarmo, in the Rebkong country, of the Amdo region of northeastern Tibet.

Dharamshala: On December 8 at around 4.35pm (Tibet time) a Tibetan man, Pema Dorjee, reportedly self-immolated in front of Shitsang monastery, Luchu county, Amdho region, northeastern Tibet.
