New York — His Holiness the Dalai Lama will attend a long life prayer offered to him by the Tibetan, Mogoli and Himalayan communities in New York tomorrow, and then will travel to Zurich, Switzerland, where His Holiness will also attend a long life prayer offered to him by the Tibetan community there on August 25, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama is expected to return to Dharamsala, India, on August 28, 2024.

New Delhi — A delegation from the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile led by Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel in New Delhi to raise Tibetan issues and urge Indian MPs to "recognise Tibet as an occupied nation, acknowledge Tibet's independent and sovereign past backed by historical evidence, and affirm the Tibetan people's right to self-determination under international law".

New Delhi — During the monsoon session of Indian Parliament, Sikkim MP Dorjee Tshering Lepcha urged the Central Government to call the India-Tibet border, not the India-China border, as a 1400 km long border running from Leh Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh and crossing Sikkim shares the border with Tibet, not China and he also called on the government to instruct all agencies, including the Army, GREF, BRO and other central government agencies, to use this name.

Washington DC — The Central Tibetan Administration and Tibetans around the world held events to express their gratitude to Representatives Jim McGovern and Michael McCaul, and Senators Todd Young and Jeff Markley for sponsoring the Resolve Tibet Act and to all U.S. lawmakers for supporting and passing the Act, as well as President Joe Biden for signing it into law.
