Dharamshala, India — To honor His Holiness the Dalai Lama on his 84th birthday, Dr Lobsang Sangay, the President of the Tibetan-government-in-exile, officially known as Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), based in Dharamshala, India, highly praised the extraordinary achievements of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which spans across the globe and the great accomplishments of the Tibetan people, in and outside Tibet.

Edinburgh— Speaking to the Cross Party Group for Tibet at the Scottish parliament, the president of the Tibetan-government-in-exile, officially known as Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), said China's communist authoritarian regime imposed a policy that aimed at eliminating all traces of Tibetan religion, culture and identity during the period 1950s-1960s when the Chinese authorities killed over a million Tibetans and destroyed more than 98% of the monasteries in Tibet.

Geneva — Members of the Swiss Parliament known as Federal Assembly of Switzerland, questioned the federal government over Tibet and efficacy of Switzerland’s bilateral human rights dialogue with China. The government did not immediately respond to the queries but has agreed to response the interpellations at forthcoming Parliament's spring session.
