Dharamshala — Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, and Minister of the Department of Information and International Relations, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), on behalf of  Tibetans in Tibet and outside Tibet, extended their most sincere congratulations to Emmanuel Macron on his re-election as President of France on April 24, 2022.

New Delhi — A group of international experts on Tibet and China had a common observation that the Chinese government’s act of arresting the six-year-old Panchen Lama of Tibet and keeping information about him as a well-guarded state secret for past 27 years has exposed the failure of their policies and seven-decade long colonial rule over Tibet. It is therefore not surprising that China’s failure in making Tibetan people to accept their fake Panchen Lama has emerged as the embodiment of the failure of the Chinese Communist Party policies and its rule over Tibet.

Dharamshala, India — Six UN human rights bodies have raised the cases of three detained Tibetans, singer Lhundrup Drakpa, writer Lobsang Lhundup (Dhi Lhaden), and teacher Rinchen Kyi with the Chinese government, and urged China to provide information concerning the legal grounds for the arrest, detention and conviction of them and how these charges are compatible with international human rights norms and standards.

Dharamshala — “ The colonisation of Tibet is not history, it is happening right now; we are going through it now and we are hoping that the international community who loves freedom and human rights, will take a look at us and support us to challenge the dictatorial regime,” said Namgyal Dolkar, the Tibetan MP, while speaking on the topic of “Truth beyond propaganda and speak up for Tibet”.

Washington, D.C. – “The Chinese Government continues to commit genocide and crimes against humanity in Xinjiang against predominantly Muslim Uyghurs, among other minority groups, to erode fundamental freedoms and autonomy in Hong Kong, and to carry out systematic repression in Tibet,” said Antony Blinken, United States Secretary of State on April 12, 2022.
