Dharamsala: Having staged one previously, students of the Tibetan Nationality Middle School in Machu County, Gansu Province, (traditionally in Tibet's Amdo Province), last week orchestrated another peaceful protest against the local government. Dharamshala: Chinese authorities have recently arrested two Tibetan students from the Northwest University for Nationalities in Lanzhou, the so called capital of Gansu province in northwestern China, according to a report published by wokar Tibetan site. The arrested Tibetans were suspected of having involved with political activism or writings on Tibet issues.

Dharamshala: Jophur Monastery in Jodha County of the Chamdho Region in Eastern Tibet was recently closed by Chinese authorities, relayed Tibetan parliament member Geshe Monlam Tharchin from a phone call he received from Tibet. He told The Tibet Post International that several monks were also arrested at the monastery, which is one of the ancient monastery of the Drukpa Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism, for staging a protest against Chinese- imposed patriotic re-education.

Dharamshala-  A Chinese Intermediate People's court in Sichuan Province has sentenced a Tibetan monk to seven years in prison and deprivation of political rights for one year, according to the Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD). The monk, called Ngagchung, has been incommunicado since his arrest in 2008.

Dharamshala- In the name of development in restoration, Chinese authorities have undertaken a number of construction projects at Rongpo Monastery in Rabkong, Eastern Tibet. According to latest confirmed information received by The Tibet Post, the Chinese have constructed a large park in front of the monastery and added a large, impressive gate to the front entrance.
