New York— Campaigns for Tibetans' hearts and minds seem almost tragic against the backdrop of repression in Tibet, the New York-based Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report, adding: "New campaign aimed at increasing loyalty" to Party, China."

Tokyo — A group of the Chinese Communist party puppets from Tibet recently visited Japan and called upon Japan to "properly handle Tibet-related issues" during their meetings with the Japanese officials.

The news, published in the state media, is just one new factor indicating a stepping-up of surveillance and intrusion into the private lives and thoughts of Tibetans, in attempts to stamp out those loyal to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

Dharamshala — A Tibetan who survived a self-immolation attempt has reportedly been released after serving out his five-year term in prison following his protest against the Chinese rule in Tibet’s Ngaba County in the traditional Amdo region of Northeastern Tibet.
