Dharamshala, India – Three young Tibetans from Kyegudo, eastern Tibet, have been arrested by Chinese authorities for failing to register a WeChat group with local authorities. One of them was hospitalised after being beaten by Chinese police and two are still in custody.

Dharamshala, India — Tashi Wangchuk, was released after serving his five-year prison term in Chinese jail. He is a Tibetan environmental and language rights activist imprisoned for speaking out about the lack of language rights under the repressive policies of China in occupied Tibet. He arrived at his second sister’s home in the afternoon of January 28, 2021.

Dharamshala, India — The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) observed a prayer service to mourn the death of Shurmo, a young and promising Tibetan who passed away five years ago due to self-immolation.
