Dharamshala, India – The Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA) of Dharamshala organised a felicitation ceremony in recognition of the Tibetan Policy and Support Act 2020 (TPSA). “I appeal to Indian government to throw some light on Tibet Act, following the steps of the US” said Shri Ajit Nehria, president of Indo-Tibetan Friendship Association (ITFA) at the felicitation ceremony.

Dharamshala, India — Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) held a ceremony in Dharamshala to show gratitude to the US government for signing Tibetan Policy and Support Act 2020 (TPSA) into law. The ceremony takes place on January 8, 2021. “The Tibetan Policy and Support Act of 2020 is a tribute to the great legacy of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to the courage and solidarity of six million Tibetans outside and inside Tibet,” remarked Dr Lobsang Sangay, president of CTA in presence of officials and media persons.

Dharamshala, India — “This ACT officially endorses that recognition of the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama is the sole authority of the great XIV Dalai Lama, Tibetan Buddhist leaders and Tibetan people with no interference from the Chinese Government,” declared Pema Jungney, while expressing his gratitude to US president Donald Trump for signing the Tibetan Policy and Support Act 2020 (TPSA) into a law on December 27, 2020.

Dharamshala, India— “The government of China has failed to show any positive record of having respect for human rights of the peoples under its rule. China remains in continued implementation of a policy of trampling on human rights that is marked by extreme brutality and the absence of any sense of conscience or remorse both within China itself and particularly in the ethnic minority populated territories such as Tibet”, stated the statement of Tibetan Parliament-in-exile (TPiE) as delivered by Speaker Pema Jungney.

Dharamshala, India — “His Holiness’ tireless initiatives to usher in a more peaceful world has in turn, garnered support for the Tibet cause globally”, stated Karma Gelek Yuthok, Minister for Department of Religion and Culture as he reads the statement of Kashag commemorating the day of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. 10th December, 2020 marks the 31st Anniversary of the Tibetan spiritual leader’s conferment of Nobel Peace Prize in December 10, 1989.
