Dharamshala, India — The office for the Tibetan National Sports Association (TNSA) was inaugurated under the health department by Dr Lobsang Sangay, president of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) on February 2, 2021. He was joined by Health Minister Choekyong Wangchuk and Health Secretary Palden Dondhup, along with other members of the health department under CTA.
Department of Religion and Culture launches a textbook on human ethics by Kirti Rinpoche
Dharamshala, India – Dr Lobsang Sangay, president of Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) unveiled the second publication of a textbook composed by Kasur Kirti Rinpoche, named The Necklace for Intelligent Students, on January 29, 2021. It was launched by the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA in observance of the Year of Gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Tashi Wangchuk is released, yet he is not free: Rinzin Choedon
Dharamshala, India — “Tashi Wangchuk is released, yet he is not free as his actions will be surveilled and rights will be repressed,” said Rinzin Choedon, Tibetan Activist and National Director at Students for Free Tibet (SFT)-India. The Tibetan language rights activist was released on January 28, 2021 after serving a five-year term in prison for standing up against the ‘repression’ of the Tibetan language education in occupied Tibet.
