Potala Football Club won gold cup of the 15th Tibetan Football tournament

Dharamshala: The 15th Tibetan Football Gold Cup tournament (Gyalyum Chenmo), began 31th May, hit the closing stages yesterday at Upper TCV, in Dharamsala, India. In the finals Potola football club from Mungod, sout India was pitted against Tibetan student association from Chennai. Potola F.C. was took the cup, in the 4-3 victory.
3 red cards were issued to the two teams during the time of play, 1 for Mundgod team and 2 for Channai team.
Arround five thousand people gathered for the final match, Tibetan prime minister, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, Thupten Tashi Anyetsang from Tibetan supreme justice commission, Tibetan MPs and ministers and local Indian dignitaries among the guests. This year, more than 250 players of 19 football clubs from Tibetan settlements across India and Nepal participated in the competetion for the 15th tournament.
