Dharamshala — The Central Tibetan Administration celebrated the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Dharamshala. Shri Jai Ram Thakur, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest. Social media was flooded with birthday greetings. Members of Parliament of different countries and international leaders took to Twitter to praise his remarkable efforts for the Tibetan people and world peace.

Dharamshala —“ When His Holiness the Dalai Lama received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo, we were all there, full of joy and singing a song that no one has written, a song of joy, compassion, freedom and possibility, our visions are not of violence and ignorance but of wisdom, compassion, love and kindness, His Holiness is the international melody of possibility that we all sing,” said Richard Gere, the staunch supporter of Tibet.

Dharamshala —“We believe that one day, Tibet will regain its place on the world map. We stand with you in this struggle for independence and we always will. Every Indian citizen is with you in this struggle. On behalf of the people of Himachal Pradesh, and Shri Jai Ram government, we bow to His Holiness with folded hands and on the occasion of his 87th birthday, I wish you all the best,” said Shri Rakesh Pathania, on behalf of the Chief Minister of HP, on the occasion of the 87th birth anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on July 6, 2022.

Dharamshala —“His Holiness gives us a message of humanity and compassion, spreading a message of peace throughout the country, inspiring not only Tibetans but all citizens of India, and I thank him on behalf of the Himachal Pradesh government,” said Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur of Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of the 87th birth anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama on July 6, 2022.
