His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala after a month's stay in Ladakh

Dharamshala — His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of Tibet arrived safely at his residence in Dharamshala on August 28, 2023, after spending 45 days in Leh, Ladakh, UT, India and where he gave teachings to thousands of Buddhists and people around the world about inner peace and compassion, religious harmony and world peace.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama welcomed by a delegation from the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), which comprised Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, Kyabje Jonang Gyaltsab Rinpoche, and Tibetan Settlement Officer Kunchok Migmar, at the Gaggal airport in Kangra. In the meantime, hundreds of people gathered to greet His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the streets leading up to the Tsuglagkhang, the Tibetan main temple, on Mcleod Ganj, Dharamshala, HP, India, with white scarves (Khata), flowers, incense in hands, and cheerful smiles.

While in Leh, Ladakh, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave a three-day teaching, which included a teaching on the "Thirty-seven practices of all bodhisattvas" by Gyalsé Thogmé Sangpo, the Empowerment of Avalokiteshvara and long life prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama at the Shewatsel grounds near Shewatsel Phodrang in Leh, Ladakh, attended by around 65,000 people, including Buddhists and people from all over the world.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended a program for the Tibetan community at the Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) ground in Choglamsar on 26 July, 2023. Where His Holiness gave talk to 5000 people gathering there. His Holiness the Dalai Lama presided over a program at the Buddha statue in Stok and gave teaching to 5000 people gathering there, on July 31, 2023. His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended the 50th-anniversary celebration of Lamdon School in Leh, and gave teaching to 15000 teachers, students, staff and people gathered in the School on August 7,2023.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama visited the Imam Bargah, a mosque in nearby Chuchot Yokma, on August 12, 2023 and interact with the Ladakhi Muslim Community gathered there and talked about world peace and religious harmony. His Holiness gave teaching to around 25,000 people at Zelthang in Khalsi (Sham) from 18-19 August, 2023.

Moreover, in the space of 26 days, His Holiness the Dalai Lama blessed some 12,706 people, including elderly and disabled people from Ladakh, people from all over the world, including foreigners and Tibetans.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Kushok Bakula Rimpochee airport (Leh airport) for New Delhi on August 25, 2023 and arrived in New Delhi the same day. After spending three days in Delhi, His Holiness arrived in Dharamshala on August 28, 2023 and was warmly welcomed by the CTA and the Tibetans around Dharamshala.
