Dharamshala — Speaker of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile Khenpo Sonam Tenphel expressed his condolence on behalf of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile over the bus accident that claimed 30 lives on April 9 near Gurchal village on the Nurpur-Chamba highway, about 100 km from Dharamshala.
In his condolence letter sent to the Chief Minister of the state, Sh. Jai Ram Thakur, he wrote, “It was very disheartening to hear about the school bus accident near Nurpur in Kangra District on last Monday. On behalf of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, I would like to offer our deepest condolence to the families of the victims for their heartbreaking loss and anguishes. “No parent should bear the loss of children before their eyes. Yet, as we say, ‘those we love and lose are always connected by heartstrings into infinity’. The deceased children will always be remembered in thoughts and prayers of their bereaved parents, relatives and people of Himachal Pradesh." He added, “For no doubt, it is also a huge loss for the government of Himachal Pradesh. Tibetans in Dharamshala are equally disturbed and wishes to convey our solidarity in this time of inconsolable moment”. “Our heartfelt prayers and sympathy goes to everyone who is undergoing pain and trauma because of this terrible tragedy and may they find consolation in their own strength and recover swiftly,” wrote the Speaker.
