Dharamshala, India— "Chinese Communist Party's President Xi personally called for an increased political education in schools in Tibet to ensure the loyalty of the next generation", according to the World Report of Human Right Watch in 2021. The Chinese authorities in Tibet continue to impose inhuman violations of freedom on Tibetans.

According to the World Report 2021, the promotion of “Nationality Unity Model Areas” came into force, representing a new milestone for the coercive assimilationist policies of the current leadership in May of 2020. These policies encourage economic migration from other parts of China and phasing out Tibetan-medium instruction in primary schools. Intensified surveillance and intimidation in neighbourhoods, workplaces, and homes has prevented public protest, a goal emphasized repeatedly by leading officials.

“The Chinese authorities in Tibet continue to impose inhuman violations of freedom on Tibetans. Restriction on religious freedom, speech, movement, and assembly, and failure to redress environmental degradation concerns about mining and land grabs by local Chinese officials, which often involve intimidation and unlawful use of force by security forces on Tibetan civilians,” stated the Human Rights Watch’s World Report 2021.

“Authorities’ 13th Five-Year Plan for Tibet (2015-2020), which set ambitious state goals for rural transformation, includes the relocation of several hundred thousand more people. Official claims of “poverty alleviation” prompted fears of further marginalization and dispossession of Tibet’s rural majority,” as informed in the World Report 2021.

“With Chinese President Xi personally calling for an increased political education in schools in Tibet to ensure the loyalty of the next generation, signalling a central support for these policies at the 7th Forum on Tibet Work in August of 2020,” concluded the Report. These are steps taken by China to devoid the next generations of Tibetans of their identity and cultural roots by brainwashing to induce Chinese Patriotic views.
