Elista, Kalmykia — Acting Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, Batu Khasikov, has sent a message to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet to mark his 84th birthday anniversary, on behalf of all the people of the Republic of Kalmykia.
The Acting head of the Republic of Kalmykia Hon. Batu Khasikov wrote to His Holiness the Dalai Lama to congratulate His Holiness on his 84th birthday. The statement was formally presented by Honorary Representative Telo Tulku Rinpoche, Office of Tibet Moscow at the official birthday ceremony held today at Tsuglagkhang, Dharamshala.
“On behalf of all the people of the Republic of Kalmykia allow me to extend our greetings on the happy occasion of Your Holiness’s birthday!” the statement read.
“Together with best wishes of good health and strengthening of faith, I would like to kindly convey my gratitude for wisdom and knowledge that spread as the result of Your Holiness’s selfless activities.”
Hon Batu Khasikov concluded, “Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.”- this saying, as well as many other sayings of His Holiness, have become the guiding principles of my life.”
“I wish Your Holiness to live a long and active life, surrounded by grateful disciples and enjoying the prosperity of Buddhist faith and culture.”
