sikyong good picDharamshala — In the wake of the terrorist attack that claimed 22 lives in Manchester on May 22nd, the Tibetan President has sent his condolences to Prime Minister Theresa May and the people of the United Kingdom.

“It is with an enormous sense of sadness that I convey my deepest condolences to the good people of United Kingdom and Prime Minister Theresa May,” Dr Lobsang Sangay said.

“It is sickening to realize that the prime target of this dastardly act has been innocent children who were just having fun. Therefore, I express my utter disbelief and shock, and offer my deepest sympathies and prayers to those who have lost loves ones or were affected by the tragedy.”

“The Central Tibetan Administration and the entire Tibetan people stands with Britain in this time of grief. I am confident that the perpetrators of this dreadful act would be brought to justice and bring solace and closure to the victims,” he said.

The Harvard-educated Tibetan president, currently touring Washington DC to meet the new US administration, said that the exile Tibetan government and the "entire Tibetan people stands with Britain in this time of grief. I am confident that the perpetrators of this dreadful act would be brought to justice and bring solace and closure to the victims."

The blast happened just after 10:30 p.m. outside the Manchester Arena after American singer Ariana Grande’s concert and resulted in 22 dead and over 60 people injured.
