Dharamshala: - Emerging reports coming out of Tibet say four more Tibetans have been secretly sentenced to varying prison terms by the Intermediate People's court in Malho, north-eastern Tibet, over allegedly involving self-immolation in protest against Chinese rule in Tibet and shouting slogans demanding Tibetan independence.

Dharamshala: - Emerging reports from Tibet say over hundred Tibetans were injured and one man committed suicide in Yulshul County, Kham region of eastern Tibet, after a massive crackdown carried out by armed Chinese military forces to disperse Tibetans peacefully protesting against diamond mining in the region.

Dharamshala: - In a deepening crackdown on self-immolation protests, Chinese authorities in Ngaba (Ch: Aba) Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, have given death sentence to a Tibetan man for allegedly killing his wife.

Dharamshala: - Sources coming out of Tibet said that Chinese courts in Malho County (Chinese: Huangnan, northwestern China's Qinghai province), Amdho region of north-eastern Tibet have sentenced two Tibetans up to four years in prison on charges of allegedly involving self-immolation in protest against Chinese rule over Tibet and spreading opinions related to Tibetan independence.

Dharamshala: - A 6.1-magnitude earthquake jolted the region of Dzogang County and Markham County in Kham region of eastern Tibet early on Monday, August 12, toppling houses and damaging roads but no casualties were reported, official media here said.

Dharamshala: - Chinese authorities have arrested a Tibetan singer popularly known as 'contemporary Tibet's young nightingale' for singing a "politically-subversive" song at a concert last year.
