Dharamsala, July 13,2011: - Tibetans and supporters rallied from the main temple Tsuglakhang and gathered at TCV Day School in McLeod Ganj despite the intermittent rains to protest the Chinese government's planned propaganda celebration this week in Lhasa, Tibet. The celebration marks 60 years of Beijing's rule over Tibet. The commemoration comes as tensions remain high in eastern Tibet where daily protests continue to take place since mid-March and Chinese security forces are engaged in an intense security clampdown.

New Delhi: - The Tibetan Youth Congress decided 25 days ago to embark on an indefinite hunger strike aimed at highlighting the grave situation in Kirti monastery and the situation of the political prisoners in Tibet. We also made specific demands in relation to the same at the time. Our demands included: Immediate withdrawal of the "patriotic re-education" campaign and Chinese troops from Kirti Monastery and to unconditionally release all political prisoners including those arrested recently from Ngaba.

Dharamshala: - Tibetans and their supporters worldwide have engaged in protests, vigils, fasts, hunger strikes, peace marches, and government lobbying activities to pressure the Chinese government to end its attack on Tibetans in Ngaba region of eastern Tibet. The international community, governments around the world and international NGOs urged to be peaceful sense of justice to help the Tibetans. "We can't just wait & see,we need the real action to change this situation", said the statement.
