Government of India formalises Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014

Dharamshala: - In what is cosidered to be a landmark decision, Goverment of India has formalisted the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014.

After rounds of meetings with various ministries of Goverment of India, Central Tibetan Administration's Home Minister, Kalon Gyari Dolma received a copy of 7-paged document concerning the policy.

According to the official website of Central Tibetan Administration the "guideline has made a clear policy statement about the welfare of the Tibetans in India. Matter concerning land lease, extending Central and States benefits, are also specified."

It also says that Tibetan Refugees may also be permitted to pursue jobs in any field for which they are professionally qualified.

This new policy guidelines is an attempt to provide uniform poicy in all states where Tibetans reside and access to various government schemes and benefits.
