Dharamshala, India — The spiritual leader of Tibet, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has called on Jai Ram Thakur, new Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh to take a leading role in promoting Indian traditional knowledge through education system.

Dharamshala — Indian security agencies investigating the two live bombs found outside the Mahabodhi temple in Bodhgaya on January 19 where His Holiness the Dalai Lama was giving a teaching to several thousand people have suggested that the Bangladesh-based terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) is involved.

Dharamshala — The Tibetan government in exile joined in with the Tibetan and Ladakhi communities mourning the death of Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo, Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, after he passed away suddenly from cardiac arrest at his home on January 30, 2018.

Dharamshala — Tibetan spiritual leader and 82 year old Nobel Laureate His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived in Delhi on January 28 for routine medical check-ups after a month of teachings in Bodhgaya, in northeastern India.

Dharamshala — Tibetan traditional medicine practitioner Dr. Yeshi Dhonden was conferred the prestigious Padma Shri award for his outstanding contribution in the field of medicine on January 26, in accordance with India’s 69th Republic Day.

Dharamshala — "We could send young monks again and welcome Thai monks to our monasteries. Tibetans could learn Thai and Thais could learn Tibetan. There are some Buddhist teachings only available in Pali and others only available in the Sanskrit tradition.

Dharamshala: - The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Friday greeted India on the celebration of its 69th Republic day.
